Safety, Warranty & Regulatory Guide for Levi’s® Commuter™ Trucker Jacket with Jacquard™ by Google and the Jacquard snap tag
This booklet provides important safety, warranty and regulatory information that you should read before you start using your Levi's® Commuter™ Trucker Jacket with Jacquard™ by Google (the “Jacket”). The Jacquard threads, the snap on the left cuff of the Jacket and the Jacquard snap tag are referred to as “Jacquard” below. An online version of this document can be found at jacquard.com/levi/info.
WARNING: HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
To avoid damaging your Jacket, accessories, or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of fire, burns, or electric shock, follow these precautions below and those found in the Jacquard Safety, Warranty and Regulatory Information which can be found at jacquard.com/levi/info.
Handle Jacquard with care. You may damage Jacquard or the Jacquard snap tag battery, if you puncture, incinerate, deform, modify, attempt to insert foreign objects into or disassemble them. Do not bend the Jacquard snap tag unnecessarily. Using a damaged Jacquard snap tag may cause battery overheating or injury. The Jacquard snap tag is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 32° to 95° F (0° and 35° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 113° F (-20° and 45° C). Do not expose the Jacquard snap tag to temperatures above 113° F (45° C) as this may damage the product, overheat the battery, or pose a risk of fire.
The Jacquard snap tag contains a lithium-ion battery, which is a sensitive component that can cause injury if damaged. Do not attempt to remove the battery. For battery service contact Jacquard support via the options found at jacquard.com/levi/support. Replacement by non-qualified professionals can damage your device. Use of an unqualified battery may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard. Dispose of your device, battery, and accessories according to local regulations. Do not dispose of them in normal household waste. Improper disposal may lead to fire, explosion, and/or other hazards. For more information on recycling your device, visit g.co/HWRecyclingProgram.
You will need to charge the Jacquard snap tag before use. Be sure the charger and Jacquard snap tag are well ventilated when in use or while charging. Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the Jacquard snap tag or other property. Avoid charging the Jacquard snap tag in direct sunlight or in ambient temperatures above 95° F (35° C). Only charge the Jacquard snap tag with any USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 Type A standards, or a USB power adapter that has been certified with a limited power source or PS1 output per IEC 60950-1/IEC 62368-1, with output rated 5Vdc, 1A. Failure to use compatible charging accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.
The threads in the left cuff of your Jacket are conductive. As with any conductive articles of jewelry and clothing (such as watch bands, bracelets, rings, necklaces), take care so they don’t come in contact with energized objects such as exposed electrical wiring. Such contact may cause electric shock or injury, or damage to Jacquard.
Jacquard can access mapping and navigation services. These services depend on a working data connection and location services; they may not be available at all times. When you use Jacquard for navigation, you may find that actual conditions differ from the map, data, traffic, directions, content and other results, so exercise your independent judgment and use navigation at your own risk. You’re responsible at all times for your conduct and its consequences. Please carefully review directions, use common sense and follow all applicable traffic laws and signs.
Using Jacquard when performing certain activities can distract you and may cause a dangerous situation for you or others (for example, attempting to swipe the interactive area of the Jacket or use the app while riding a bicycle in heavy traffic). To reduce the risk of accidents (and because it’s prohibited by law in many countries), do not use Jacquard while driving or operating machinery, and do not use it while engaging in any activities that have potentially serious consequences. Follow local laws about using mobile devices, headphones and helmets.
Radio Frequency Interference
Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology. For example, while flying in an aircraft or immediately before boarding, use Jacquard only according to instructions provided by the airline. Use of a wireless device in an aircraft may disrupt wireless networks, present a hazard to aircraft operation, or be illegal. Remove the Jacquard snap tag from the Jacket to disable the wireless transmitter.
Proper Handling and Usage
Care and Cleaning
Remove the Jacquard snap tag before washing the Jacket. It’s ok to tumble dry the Jacket (without the snap tag) but air drying is preferred. Do not iron the left cuff of the Jacket. Do not dry-clean the Jacket. Do not wash or dry the Jacquard snap tag. To clean the Jacquard snap tag wipe it with a soft dry or damp cloth. Do not use soaps, solvents or abrasives on the snap tag. The Jacket is designed to withstand up to 10 washes with the Jacquard snap tag removed but your experience may vary by usage and wash conditions.
You can wear the Jacket in the rain, but if the Jacket becomes too wet it may not reliably detect gestures. Allow the Jacket to dry and resume using. The snap tag is resistant to rain and splashing, but it is not fully waterproof. Do not wash the Jacquard snap tag or immerse it in liquid as doing so may damage the snap tag. The Jacquard snap tag has a water protection rating of IPX4 under IEC 60529.
