View important emails

The Highlights section at the top of your inbox reminds you to open important new emails.

How Inbox decides which emails are important

Inbox sorts emails into the Highlights section based on:

  • Whom you email, and how often you email them
  • Which emails you open
  • Which emails you reply to
  • Keywords that are in emails you usually read

Hide Highlights section

  1. On your computer, open Inbox.
  2. On the left, click Settings and then Highlights.
  3. Turn off Highlights.

Remove a single email from Highlights

  1. On your computer, open Inbox.
  2. Point to the email you want to remove.
  3. On the right, click More More and then Don't show in Highlights.
