Campaign reporting guide

Important: This article applies only to campaigns in the Hotel Ads Center. If you've migrated to Google Ads, read about Hotel campaigns in Google Ads.

Account-level dashboards and reports aggregate performance from legacy bids and all of the account's campaigns. To help you evaluate and optimize individual campaigns, some reports are also available at the campaign level in addition to a new "Campaign Opportunity" report.

Campaign reporting concepts

Only one of your account's campaigns enters any given auction -- see campaign targeting. This means that only the campaign that was considered for that auction gets an eligible impression, and either gets impression and performance metrics or missed-impression metrics.

Hotel Impressions and missed participation metrics that represent auctions your account didn't participate in are accumulated at the account level, and can be viewed in the account dashboard and account-level Opportunity report. These metrics aren't available within campaigns.

Performance metrics and missed impressions that represent auctions where you weren't sufficiently competitive are accumulated within your campaigns and can be viewed in the relevant Campaign dashboard or the new Campaign Opportunity report.

Campaign opportunities can be viewed per campaign, or in aggregate (summed over campaigns) in the account dashboard.

Metric Account level Campaign level
Opportunity metrics:
  • Hotel Impressions
YES NO
Missed participations:
  • Suspended Hotel
  • No Availability
  • No Point of Sale
  • No Taxes
  • Live Query issues
  • Other
YES NO
Performance metrics:
  • Eligible Impressions
  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Conversions
  • Cost
Summed over campaigns YES
Missed impressions:
  • Insufficient bid
  • Other
Summed over campaigns YES

Note: Because campaigns only receive eligible impressions when they're entered into an auction, "Missed Impression - Budget Exceeded" and "Missed Impression - No Bid" opportunities are no longer counted. Instead, counts of auctions where your campaigns weren't entered for one of these reasons will be added to the "Missed Participation - Other" column.

Campaign-level reports

Reports that are available at the campaign level will be displayed in the campaign's Intelligence view.

To open the campaign's Intelligence view:

  1. Open the Hotel Ads Center in a browser.
  2. Select the Dashboard tab.
  3. In the table at the bottom, select the name of the campaign you want. This will bring you to the "Campaign View."
  4. Click the Intelligence tab. The "Intelligence" view shows.

The following table summarizes the effects that campaigns have on the various reports:
