ad position

The order in which your ad appears on a page, relative to all other ads in all slots, as the result of the auction.

In reports that show your ad positions, typical values are:

  • "-1": Your ad was not shown.
  • "1": Your ad was displayed first (first position in slot "A").
  • "2": Your ad was displayed second (second position in slot "A").
  • "3": Your ad was displayed third (first position in slot "M").
  • "4": Your ad was displayed fourth (second position in slot "M").
  • "5": Your ad was displayed fifth (third position in slot "M").
  • "6": Your ad was displayed sixth (fourth position in slot "M").

Slot "A" refers to the priority slot that is always displayed. Slot "M" refers to an ad that is displayed after a user clicks "More Rates".

The positions listed above are typical, but the number of positions per slot can vary.
