Performance Report

The Performance Report with Conversion Metrics is the standard Hotel Ads report, and is available to all partners. For partners with the Hotel Ads Conversion Tracking snippet enabled, additional tracking metrics will be included in the report.

Accessing the Performance Report

This section shows you how to access the Performance Report and describes the fields available in it.

To access the Performance Report:

  1. Open Hotel Ads Center in a browser.
  2. Select the Intelligence tab. The Reports view displays.
  3. Select a date range to report against:

     

  4. Select "Performance Report" from the Report Type drop-down list.
  5. Click the Download link to download a CSV file containing the report data.

The following table describes the columns in the Performance Report:

Name Column Name Description
Google Site property The Google property on which a user viewed your hotel-pricing data. Valid property types include:
  • "localuniversal": The user found the ad through organic search, typically by searching on google.com.
  • "mapresults": The user found the ad through maps.google.com.
  • "placepage": The user found the ad through plus.google.com/local.

Google Site is one of the dimensions that you can apply a bid multiplier against. For more information, see Using Bid Multipliers.

Country country

Country of the user based on Google domain, provided as a 2-letter country code (ISO 3166).

Device Type device_type The end-user's device type. Possible values are:
  • "mobile"
  • "tablet"
  • "desktop"

Hotel ID hotel_id The unique ID for your hotel.
Check-in Date check_in_date Check-in date for the itinerary.
Date Type date_type

Indicates whether the end user enters specified dates when searching for hotels. Possible values are:

  • "default": When the end user searched with default dates
  • "selected": When the end user searched for specific dates

Itinerary Length of Stay length_of_stay

Length of stay for the itinerary.

Price Bucket price_bucket Indicate a rate's relative competitiveness in an auction (as compared to other partners' rates for the same hotel stay). We place all Hotel Ads that are eligible for the auction into buckets that are used to determine how Hotel Ads should be displayed and ranked to the user. Possible values are:
  • "-1": Your bid was below the reserve price.
  • "0": The ‘lowest’ price bucket. Your rate for a given hotel stay was within a very small variance of the lowest price (submitted by all partners).
  • "1": The ‘competitive’ price bucket. Your rate for a given hotel stay was not the lowest, but still considered competitive (relative to rates provided by other partners)
  • "2": The ‘uncompetitive’ price bucket. The rate that you provided was not competitive relative to the lowest rate provided by other partners.
Ad Position ad_position The order in which your ad appears on a page, relative to all other ads in all slots. The value of Ad Position is the result of the auction.
Slot Type slot The ad's type of placement on the page. The structure and UI of the page depends on the platform on which the ad is displayed and other factors.

Possible values are:

  • "A": The priority slot that is always displayed; includes a booking link.
  • "M": The ad (with booking link) that is displayed only after a user clicks "More Rates".
  • "Z": The ad was not shown.
Slot Position slot_position The position within the slot type ("A" or "M"). This value is zero-indexed, meaning "0" is the most favorable position; "-1" indicates that your ad was not shown.
Room Bundle room_bundle A boolean indicating whether the associated stats occurred for a Room Bundle. "true" indicates that the stats are for a Room Bundle; otherwise "false".
Impressions impressions Number of times users have viewed your ad for a hotel.
Eligible Impressions eligible_impressions Total number of times your ad was eligible to show for users.
Number of Clicks clicks Total number of clicks.
Billing Cost billing_cost_usd Total cost of clicks, in USD.
Conversions conversions The number of bookings reported via the Hotel Ads conversion tracking.
Base Price booked_base_price_usd The cost for the bookings, not including taxes and fees, reported via the Hotel Ads conversion tracking.
Total Price booked_total_price_usd The total price for the bookings, including taxes and fees, reported via the Hotel Ads conversion tracking.
Booked Length of Stay booked_length_of_stay The length of stay of the bookings reported via the Hotel Ads conversion tracking.
Window Days booking_window_days The number of days between the date of the booking and the check-in date for bookings reported via the Hotel Ads conversion tracking.

The Performance report is available daily.
