Hire Admins: Turn On Job Req Approvals

Turn on job req approvals

Please read the Approvals overview article before turning on this feature for your company.

You can turn on job req approvals to make sure job postings align with your company’s needs, such as headcount availability and budget, before reaching candidates. This will require Recruiters and members of a Hiring team to request approval before publishing any job to your company career site and any external jobs sites. Any user can be chosen to be an approver.

  1. Sign in to Hire.
  2. Select Admin and then Approvals.
  3. Next to Job approvals, click the toggle to turn it on.
As soon as job req approvals is turned on:
  • All new jobs will require approval before they can be published.
  • Approvers will receive an email notification that they need to approve new or modified jobs, and can approve directly from the email or by logging in to Hire.
  • Changing certain fields will unpublish a job and require it to be re-approved.
  • If you turn off job req approvals, pending approval requests will be canceled and its status will be changed to "open"

Turn off job req approvals

Job req approvals can be turned on or turned off at any time. If job req approvals are turned off while a job’s status is pending approval, approval rejected, or draft, the approval process will be canceled and the job status will be changed to Open. When a job is open, it can be published to your company career site or external job sites. All completed job approvals (approved, canceled, or rejected) will still be shown in Job details.

Offer approvals

Hire by Google: Enable offer approvals

Turn on offer approvals

Please read the Approvals overview article before turning on this feature for your company.

You can turn on offer approvals to make sure newly uploaded offer letters are approved before being sent out to candidates. Users who upload an offer letter can choose approvers. All approvers will be given partial access* to the candidate as well as viewing privileges to the document. You can set up offer permissions to adjust sensitive information privileges per role.   1. Sign in to Hire.
  2. Select Admin and then Approvals.
  3. Next to Offer approvals, click the toggle to turn it on.

Turn off offer approvals

You can turn on and turn off approvals at any time. If you decide to turn off approvals, any offers that are pending approval are canceled, and approvers are sent notifications about the cancelation. You will still see past historical data of offers on the candidate’s application page under the Offers tab.
