External recruiters

You may wish to give people outside of your company access to Hire if you work with external recruiters. External recruiters can only get access to a job in Hire when their email address is part of your domain. Access to Hire is based on the number of G Suite Licenses for members of your company sharing the domain. If you want to give people outside of your company access to Hire, they will need to create a Google account and email address (under your company's domain) in order to log into Hire.

Once you've given an external recruiter a Google account and company email address, they should be able to log in as a regular user. Hire Admins will be able to assign system roles, and they can be invited to join a Hiring team just like any other user.

FAQ

Is there a way for external recruiters to add candidates in Hire without giving them access to Hire?

It's currently not possible to add an external recruiter to a job in Hire when their email address is not part of your domain. Access to Hire is limited to only users within your G Suite domain. If you want to give people outside of your company access to Hire, they will need to create a Google account and email address (under your company's domain) in order to log into Hire. You can also give a user a limited access G Suite account. Learn how to here.

How can external recruiters use Hire to source candidates?

Candidate Discovery is a great way to go through candidates your team has already invested time in to find quality hires. Recruiters will need to have the correct system roles to be able to  use Discover Search and source candidates. You can learn more about user permissions here.

I have a high number of candidates who move quickly from one job to the next. Does Hire support rehiring candidates?

If you work with external recruiters, or are a staffing company yourself, and are rehiring candidates regularly, you may come across instances where not all recruiters in your company can view previously hired candidates due to permission rules, so many hired candidates will become unsearchable in Hire’s database. If you run into this problem, we recommend you:

  1. Have an Admin unlock a hired candidate’s profile so users can rehire them for another position.
Moving a candidate who was previously marked as hired to unhired will remove the job in the Time to Fill report and alter some data. You can learn more about the Time to Fill report here.
  1. Keep track of the jobs the candidate has previously worked by adding it to the background of the candidate’s profile page under “experience”.
