Communicate with candidates

This article is for anyone who can view one or more candidates in Hire.

Take a call, email, or text a candidate directly through the mobile app.  

Email candidates

Note: You must connect to Gmail on the Hire website to use this feature.
  1. Sign in to the Hire app.
  2. Tap Candidates at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the candidate you'd like to email or Search Search for them.
  4. On the candidate's profile page in the top right, tap Email Email.
  5. Under "Email template", select a template or tap "Send custom email" to create your own email.
    1. Selecting "Send custom email" will take you to your email app.
  6. Select an email delivery time.
  7. Tap Send at the top of the screen.
Note: Once members of a hiring team connect to Gmail, all emails between hiring team members and a candidate will appear in the activity tab of the candidate's profile. Only hiring team members and admins will be able to view these emails.
Call candidates

You can call candidates in the Hire mobile app.

  1. Sign in to the Hire app.
  2. Tap Candidates at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the candidate you'd like to call or Search Search for them.
  4. Tap more More in the top right corner.
  5. Tap Call.
  6. You'll be redirected out of Hire to make a call to the candidate.
Note: Candidate numbers must be 10-digit U.S. numbers. 

Text candidates

You can send a text to candidates in the Hire mobile app.
  1. Sign in to the Hire app.
  2. Tap Candidates at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the candidate you'd like to text or Search Search for them.
  4. Tap more More in the top right corner.
  5. Tap Text.
  6. Tap Continue on the dialog that says "Text must be sent from messaging device".
  7. You'll be redirected out of Hire to your device's text messaging app of choice to text the candidate.
