What is the difference between 'Publish HPD' and 'Submit to Google'?

Publish HPD means you're officially finalizing your HPD- it's sort of your HPD declaration.  This is where you say whether you've submitted all intentional ingredients and/or known hazards, per HPD guidance.  This does not mean the information is made public in any way.

Submit to Google means you're taking that HPD information and sharing it with Google. We can't see any of it until you submit it (even if it's published). You have to take that next step of officially sharing it with us.

Even after completing these two steps, you are able to make changes to your information whenever you want.  You just need to do both steps again for your HPD to update, and for Google to receive your updated HPD information.

To make your HPD public, enter a url into the Public URL section.  This signals that you have or will be posting your HPD publicly on this site, and it signals to us that our project teams are free to download the HPD and distribute it as needed (including as documentation for rating systems like LEED).  Do this before you publish and submit your information.

For more information on how these two steps impact how your data is shared, please see 'Who will see the information in my submission?'
