How do I add an additional product category? (CSI Masterformat)

The system allows a product to be categorized by CSI Masterformat, and multiple categories can be associated with a product.

You'll be prompted when you create a product to enter in a main Masterformat category, but it's not required to save the product.  You may want to go in later and add a category.

To edit the main Masterformat category for the product:

1. From the Product Summary View, click 'Edit This Product' on the right hand navigation

2. Find 'Classification - MasterFormat 2012' and start typing either a term like 'paint' or the numbering system for the desired Masterformat category.  Options will pop up as you type.  When you find the desired one, click on it to select.

3. Scroll to the bottom and click 'Save Edits'

To add an additional Masterformat category to a product:

1. From the Product Summary View, click on 'General Information' to expand that section

2. Look for 'Additional MasterFormat 2012 designations' and click on the 'Add a designation' button

3. Start typing either a term like 'paint' or the numbering system for the desired Masterformat category.  Options will pop up as you type.  When you find the desired one, click on it to select.

4. Click 'Add Category'
