You can turn on or off three types of notifications:
- Announcements: notifications for receiving general announcements about the app or studies
- Articles and reports: notifications for receiving relevant updates about the studies you’re participating in
- Reminders: notifications to remind you of the available tasks such as weekly surveys
Turn notifications on or off
- Open the Google Health Studies app.
- Tap Menu
- Tap Notifications
- Turn on or off.

- Open the Google Health Studies app.
- Tap the study you’re enrolled in.
- Tap Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Turn on or off.
Turn any specific notification type on or off
- Open the Google Health Studies app.
- Tap the study you’re enrolled in.
- Tap Menu
- Tap Notifications
- Tap Notification categories
- You will see all the notifications listed (viz: Announcements, Articles and reports, Reminders)
- Choose the category you want to change
- Tap Turn on or off.
If you choose to turn off notifications, you can always tap Contribute at the bottom to go to the contribute page to see if there are any tasks to be completed.
