Replacing a RAID Battery on G100/G500

Use this document to replace a failed RAID (redundant array of independent disks) battery in the Google Search Appliance G100 (T4/T5) or G500 (U3/U4). This document is for system administrators who have access to both the search appliance hardware and administrative software.

Contacting Customer Support

If you see that a battery has failed, contact Google Customer Support to get authorization for a replacement to be sent to you. You can choose to replace the entire Google Search Appliance rather than replacing the failed unit.
