Unable to install a staging certificate on replica node

Issue ID: 3508817


Summary: When attempting to install an SSL certificate under Google Search Appliance > Administration > SSL Settings an error message is observed stating Unable to install a staging certificate.


Cause: This is a due to issue #3508817, the background syncing process between the master and replica results in a conflict which produces this error.


Workaround: The solution is to remove the mirroring link on the replica, and then reinstall the certificate.

On the Master node, do the following:

  1. Click GSAn > Configuration.

  2. Click the View / Edit link.

  3. Click the Remove link that corresponds to the replica you are deleting from the configuration.

Back on the replica, navigate to Google Search Appliance > Administration > SSL Settings on the replica and install your certificate.

Pending success, re add your repliaca as a node under GSA^n > Configuration.
