Cause: The error message is due to a connection issue between the search appliance and the SSO/authentication server.
- Navigate to realtime diagnostics on the Content Sources > Diagnostics > Real-time Diagnostics page in Admin Console.
- In the Manual fetch request box enter the URL in crawl diagnostics. Observe if there is an issue, eg. timeout/ bad redirect etc.
Fix: Follow the troubleshooting steps to ensure that the search appliance can connect correctly to the SSO/authentication server.
