How to include a person’s first and last name when adding a person to Google Groups 0 Recommended Answers 2 Replies 2 Upvotes
In the new Google Groups interface, it seems that I can no longer include a person’s first and last name to their email address when I add new members to a group. I used to be able to put the first and last name in quotes before their email address (in brackets). That no longer works. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Google Groups Community
at this time that is nolonger option on the new google groups you will need to set your group to used the Google Profile under the member privacy in the groups setting and that will pull in the user name from their Google account name.

THIS IS VERY BAD. We need to know, without doing anything special, who the member is. And am I to understand that if a person does not have a Google account, then their identity is not discoverable?
Who do we communicate with to get this changed?
