Lock conversations

If you're signed in to a work or school account, the options you see might be different. To learn more, contact your administrator.

Requires the Who can moderate content permission.

When you lock a conversation, you block all replies to posts and other activity on it.

Lock a new conversation

1. Sign in to Google Groups.
2. Click the name of a group.
3. Choose an option:
   • If there are no conversations in the group, click Start a conversation.
   • If you want to start a new discussion thread, at the top left, click New conversation.
4. To the right of the subject, click Lock conversation .

Lock an existing conversation

1. Sign in to Google Groups.
2. Click the name of a group.
3. Choose an option:
   • To lock a single conversation—Click the conversation.
   • To lock multiple conversations—Point to each conversationcheck the box next to the poster's name.
4. In the upper right, click Lock conversation .
