Use Google Calendar with Google Groups

You cannot embed the HTML version of your Google Calendar inside a Groups page. However, you can share a Google Calendar with your group in two ways: Create a shared calendar for group members or post a link to the calendar in your group.

Share a Google Calendar with your group

You can create a calendar that you share with your group members who are also Google Calendar users. To create a Google Calendar for your Google group:

  1. In Google Calendar, click the down arrow next to My calendars.
  2. Click on Create new calendar. The Create New Calendar screen appears.
  3. Fill in the Calendar Name, Description, and so on.
  4. Enter the email addresses of your group members in the 'Share with specific people' field. Note that your group members will need to use Google Calendar to share your calendar using this method.
  5. Click on Create Calendar. Your calendar is created.

Post a link to a Google Calendar to your group

You can als share a calendar with your group members by providing them a link to the HTML version of your calendar within your group. To provide a link to a calendar in your group:

  1. In Google Calendar, click the down arrow next to My calendars.
  2. Click on Settings. The Calendar Settings screen appears.
  3. Click on the Calendars tab.
  4. Click on the calendar that you want to share.
  5. Click on the HTML button next to "Calendar Address." The calendar address is displayed.
  6. Copy the calendar address and post this address in a message to your group. The members of your group will be able to visit that URL and see your calendar as long as the calendar is public.
