Are there arts and heritage organisations which have been successful in getting a grant? 0 Recommended Answers 2 Replies 0 Upvotes

We are an arts and heritage organisation based in the UK. We have commercial activity which funds our charitable objectives. I'd find it really useful to see the websites of successful Google Grant applicant arts and heritage organisations and how they approach fulfilling the Google criteria. Thanks.

What is your organization's website? This will give us context about your organization. Every  organization is different in how they meet the criteria for  the Google Ad Grant. Commercial activity on your website should not be the main focus. Google Ad Grants does not prohibit certain kinds of e-commerce activity.

If the website is full of affiliate marketing links, then that is not allowed with  Google  Ad  Grant.

Hi Madeleine,

As Jodie mentioned it would be a lot easier to advise you on your website's eligibility if you post a link.

Whilst looking at other websites might provide you some ideas, the Google criteria is designed to apply to all kinds of websites. That is to say you won't necessarily improve your eligibility by replicating the design of another website in your industry.

The full website criteria can be found here: https://support.google.com/grants/answer/1657899?hl=en

Generally speaking some key themes and common issues are;
  1. Transparency - you should explain in detail who you are, what you do and how your funds are used. Best practice is to place your organisation's contact details in the website footer of every page.
  2. Security - you site must be secured with https.
  3. Commercial Activity - this is absolutely fine provided it is not the main focus of your site and you are transparent with how the funds are used.
Hope that helps!
