How do I ensure that the product or service category reflects the mission of our nonprofit? 1 Recommended Answer 4 Replies 0 Upvotes

Our registered non profit Emek Hashaveh Dialogue Center registration number 580628196 deals with Alternative Dispute Resolution in the community.
We receive repeated error messages stating  1) The product or service category must reflect the mission, and 2) the website cannot be approved in its present state.  We have added the annual report as suggested and installed an automated rule. What else should be try?  Many thanks!!

Difficult for me to tell, looking at a translation of the website, but do you clearly state that you're a nonprofit?

Is that doubly clear and prominent on the home page?

Is it mentioned in the footer of every page, along with your registration number?

Doesn't look like it to me.

I don't see any other problems.

Thank you Jason!
I followed your instructions exactly.  You can now see in the footer of every page and also in About the required text about our non-profit status.  www.emekhashaveh.org
Unfortunately, I have just received a further identical announcement from Google regarding mission and website stating that we do not meet their requirements.
I would be MOST pleased to hear if you have any further suggestions.
Many thanks,

Hi Reuven,

Just had a look at your website and great to see that you implemented Jason's suggestion of putting your nonprofit details in the footer of every page.

In my opinion you could make it more obvious to the Ad Grants team by using some common buzzwords and clearly stating a mission statement.

I would change your homepage slider to show your mission statement and make it super obvious. ie. Our mission is to xyz. You could also place this in the header of your about page to make it clearer (note that although similar vision is not the same as a mission).

If you wanted to make it clearer you could rephrase it to say something along the lines of "we are a nonprofit organisation on a mission to xyz"

You could also think of adding your mission statement to the footer of the webpage as well as the statement "all proceeds are dedicated to promoting mediation and dispute resolution in the community."

Hopefully those minor changes will make it clearer to both users and Google that you are a nonprofit organisation. Otherwise I would agree with Jason and can't see anything else that would need changing!

Best of luck!
