How to install a chromecast google Tv device when the google home app is not compatible with phone

Hello,

My mother bought a chromecast google tv device to install on her tv. I have the same that I installed on my tv without problem.
But, when I tried to install the chromecast on her tv today, the problem was that I can not install the google home app on her smartphone. And the app is needed for the installation of the chromecast.
The google chrome app doesn't show up in the play store and when I go through a link on the internet to install it I got a message that the app is not compatible with her phone.
She has a Huawei 5II (android lollipop), about 4 years old.

So what I dit is use my own phone with my own google account to install the chromecast.
So far so good, but it's just temporary : it needs to be installed on her own google account.

I noticed after the intallation that on my smartphone when I open the google home app I can add another google account. I added her account and now the next thing I'm going to try is :
using her google account on the home app on my smartphone (while connected to her network) install it over again.
Would that work?
How do I re-install the chromecast?
Do I have to re-install it? Or can I just add her google account in the settings of the chromecast google tv? And then remove my google account (which I used to install the chromecast on her tv)?

Or, even better...is there a way to install the home app on her own smartphone (Huawei 5II), and then re-install the chromecast, or add her google-account and remove mine?

I hope someone can help me.

In advance I thank you all for helping us...

That would work, yes. Chromecast will get setup and associated with her account, instead of yours. It would allow you to do the initial setup. After setup, it can be controlled with the voice remote, but your mother wouldn't be able to change any device settings in the Google Home app.

There's no way to do that. You'll need to factory reset it, then set it up again with your mother's account. You can use the reset button on the device itself to reset.

Checking this is the app you're trying to download? What do you see when trying to install it?

Thanks for the help.

This is how I resolved the problem :
- at her home i connected my phone to her internet
- in my home app I added her Google account
- in the settings of her Chromecast Google TV I also added her Google account
- then i deleted my Google account in the settings of Google Chrome cast

I did not have to reinstall the Chromecast.
I deleted only the apps and re-installed them, so I could use her google account for each app registration.
