  3. Select Manage apps & games and then Updates and then Update all.

  3. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
Sign out & back in
  1. From the Google TV home screen, select Settings Settings and then Accounts & Sign In.
  2. Select the profile you want to remove and then Remove and then Remove account.
    • If there’s only one account and you remove it, the TV will factory reset automatically.
  3. To add the account again, select Add account.
  4. To sign in, follow the on-screen instructions.

If your TV still freezes after you restart

On most Google TV devices, you can manually reset the device to factory settings. A factory reset can take a few minutes to complete and deletes everything on your device. You need to redownload your apps and content.

The steps to factory reset a device vary by manufacturer. For example, on Chromecast with Google TV:

  1. Plug the device into your TV and turn it on.
  2. On the back of the device, press and hold the button. The light will blink yellow.
  3. When the light turns solid white, release the button. The device will reset.

Other devices might have different reset steps. For more info, contact your device manufacturer.
