You can find recommendations for things to watch on the Google TV main menu. You can also search for specific movies and shows, browse live TV, or find something to watch in a streaming app.

Search for something to watch
On a Google TV device:
- On your remote, press the Google Assistant button
.
- Enter or say your search.
- Your results appear on the screen.
In the Google TV app:
- At the top left, tap Search
.
- Type your search.
- To speak your search, tap Microphone
. Then, say your search.
- To speak your search, tap Microphone
- Your results appear on the screen.
- A specific show, like “Game of Thrones”
- A genre, like “crime shows”
- An actor or director, like “movies with Meryl Streep”
If you start a show or movie, but don’t finish it, you can find it on the Google TV home screen under “Continue watching.” If you have multiple profiles on your TV, you might find movies and shows that other people watched.
Tip: If the service provider hasn’t made your content available, it won’t be listed under “Continue watching.”
To hide a show or movie that you don’t want to finish watching:
- On the Google TV home screen, select the For you tab.
- Scroll to the “Continue watching” section.
- Highlight the content you want to hide.
- Press and hold the select button on your remote.
- Select Hide.
- At the top left of the Google TV home screen, go to the Search tab
.
- Navigate to the search result you want to remove.
- On your remote, press and hold the Select button.
- Select Remove from this TV.
