Uploaded or purchased music isn't showing on Android TV

If you're having trouble playing your Google Play Music on Android TV, here are some things you can try.

Make sure your Android TV system software is up to date:

  1. Go to your device's main Settings menu.
  2. Select About > System update.
  3. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to update the system.
  4. Retry your music.

Sync your account:

  1. Go to your device's main Settings menu.
  2. Under "Personal," select your account.
  3. Select Choose synced apps > Sync now.
  4. Retry your music.

Make sure your Google Play Music account is registered on your Android TV:

  1. Go to your device's main Settings menu.
  2. Under "Personal," review which account is registered on the device.
  3. To switch accounts, select Remove account and follow the on-screen instructions to add another account. For more information, go to the Android TV Help Center.

Clear app data and cache:

  1. Go to your device's main Settings menu.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Under "System apps," select Google Play Music > Clear data and then Clear cache.
  4. Retry your music.
