About Google Play Music subscriptions

When you subscribe to Google Play Music, you can access the world's music ad-free through albums, charts, new releases, staff picks, and featured playlists.

Subscribers in eligible countries also get access to YouTube Red for no extra cost. Just make sure you're signed into the same account on YouTube and Google Play.

Explore your Google Play Music subscription

  1. Open the Google Play Music app Play Music.
  2. At the bottom of the page, you'll see the following options. 

Home: Find stations created by our team of experts and music personalized for you, based on what you listen to.

Recents: See radio stations, playlists, albums, or songs that you've recently played. 

Library: Browse music that you've added to your library and purchased on Google Play.

Browse: 

  • Top Charts -  Listen to today's biggest hits and top charts by genre.
  • New releases -  See brand new music that has recently become available.
  • Browse stations  - Find radio  stations based on your favorite genre, activity, mood, or decade.

Watch music videos

You can also watch music videos for select songs that have video content.

Using your mobile device

On an album or artist page

  1. Open the Google Play Music app Play Music.
  2. Go to an album or artist page.
  3. Select the video you want to watch.

When playing a song

  1. In the center of your screen, look for the Play button YouTube Red Music Player.
  2. If the Play button is displayed, tap it to watch the music video.
Using your computer

On an album or artist page

  1. Go to Google Play Music (play.google.com/music).
  2. Go to an album or artist page.
  3. Select the video you want to watch.

When playing a song

  1. At the bottom of your screen, hover over the song title.
  2. To the right of the song title, select the Play button YouTube Red Music Player.
