Add music to your queue

You can quickly add, remove, or rearrange uploaded or purchased music in your Google Play Music queue—the list of songs you'll be listening to next. If you subscribe to Google Play Music, can also add, remove, or rearrange subscription tracks.

  1. Find an album or song you want to play.
  2. Select the Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Add to queue.
  3. Use the buttons on the bar at the bottom of the screen to control playback, shuffle songs, or repeat songs.
  4. To see the full list of songs, select the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.

Rearrange or remove songs in your queue

On your Android mobile device

Rearrange a song

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. In the top right corner of your screen, touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  3. On the left side of your screen, touch and hold the three lines next to the song title Google Play Music Menu icon.
  4. Drag and drop the song to your desired position.

Remove a song

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. In the top right corner of your screen, touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  3. Next to the song you want to remove, touch the Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Remove from queue.

Clear all songs

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. In the top right corner of your screen, touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  3. Touch the Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Clear queue.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Rearrange a song

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. Touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue > Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Edit queue.
  3. Touch and hold the three lines next to the song title Google Play Music Menu icon.
  4. Drag and drop the song to your desired position.
  5. Touch Done.

Remove a song

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. Touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue > Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Edit queue.
  3. Touch the Delete icon Play Music web delete icon > Remove > Done.

Clear all songs

  1. While a song is open, touch the title bar across the bottom of your screen.
  2. In the top right corner of your screen, touch the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  3. Touch the Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Clear queue.
On your computer

Rearrange a song

  1. In the bottom right corner of your screen, select the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  2. Select the song you want to move.
  3. Drag and drop the song to your desired position.

Remove a song

  1. In the bottom right corner of your screen, select the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  2. Hover over the song you want to remove.
  3. Select the Menu icon Music 3-dots menu > Remove from queue.

Clear all songs

  1. In the bottom right corner of your screen, select the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  2. At the top of your queue, select Clear.

Save your queue as a playlist

  1. In the bottom right corner of your screen, select the music note icon Google Play Music Queue.
  2. At the top of your queue, select Save.
