Install and uninstall apps

You can install any free or paid apps from the approved list that is Managed by your IT administrator. If needed, your IT administrator can install apps for your device remotely. If your IT administrator installed an app, you may see a message that you can’t uninstall it because it was installed using an administration policy.

Your company may have private self-hosted apps. These apps are not hosted on Google servers, are not verified by Google, and may only be installed while you're connected to your company network. If you choose to install one, you'll see an information message to let you know that it is a self-hosted app.

Note: To access the work apps your device must be either company owned or have a work profile, or be configured to access apps outside the work profile. In addition, if the device supports work profiles and is company owned, the work apps will only show up after a work profile is created.
