Need to request a refund? We have you covered!
We’ve outlined the three most common refund scenarios below and next steps for each one:
Scenario #1: Requesting a General Play Refund
On your computer, go to play.google.com/store/account.
Click Order History.
Find the order you want to return.
On the order, click More More.
Select Request a refund or Report a problem and choose the option that describes your situation.
Complete the form and note that you would like a refund.
You will see a message saying "thank you for sharing your concerns." You'll then get an email with your refund decision. You’ll usually get this within 15 minutes, but it can take up to two business days.
Important to note:
If you have multiple refund requests, repeat these steps for each thing you bought.
If you don't see the order, you may have bought it using a different Google Account. Learn how to switch accounts.
Scenario #2: Requesting a Refund for Unauthorized Charges
If you see a charge from Google Play that you didn't make, report it within 120 days of the transaction. You can report an unauthorized purchase here and our team will review it!
Scenario #3: Requesting a Refund for In-App Purchases
One thing to note: In-app purchases can take up to 24 hours to be delivered! If you have made an in app purchase and don’t see it added in the app or game, wait 24 hours and check again.
If it’s still not there after 24 hours, try these troubleshooting steps:
Check your connectivity
Force stop, then reopen the app or game
Check the payment went through
Restart the device
Update the Play Store app
Make sure date and time are correct
