Reviewing Action Required and Warnings in the Partner Portal

It is important to review and take appropriate action on products delivered to Google Play Music that have ingested with errors. The Action Required and Warnings pages in the Portal provide insight into ingestion errors, making it easier to troubleshoot and take appropriate action so that your products correctly publish on Google Play Music.

Note that products listed in Action Required have fatal errors and will require a fix and re-delivery to Google Play Music in order to publish. Products listed in Warnings have non-fatal errors and will publish to Google Play Music, but may have display or pricing issues that should be reviewed, fixed, and then re-delivered.

Reviewing Products with Action Required

In order to review products that require actions, along with the associated errors:

  1. First, log into your Google Play Music Portal account.
  2. Navigate to and click on Action Required on the left panel. Once on the Action Required page, you can see all products that have fatal errors.
  3. To review more details about the product's fatal error, hover over and click on the product you'd like to review. This will bring you to the product page.
  4. Once on the product page, find the   symbol, which will indicate the product-level or track-level fatal error(s).  You can also click on Show Validation Problems for details on the action required at a general product level.
  5. To review the fatal error, click on the   symbol.
  6. After the error has been investigated and resolved, please re-deliver the product.
Reviewing Products with Warnings

In order to review products that have warnings, along with the associated errors:

  1. First, log into your Google Play Music Portal account.
  2. Navigate to and click on Warnings on the left panel. Once on the Warnings page, you can see all products that have non-fatal errors.
  3. To review more details about the product's non-fatal error, hover over and click on the product you'd like to review. This will bring you to the product page.
  4. Once on the product page, find the  symbol, which will indicate the product-level or track-level non-fatal error(s). You can also click on Show Validation Problems for details on the warning at a general product level.
  5. To review the non-fatal error, click on the    symbol.
  6. After the issue has been investigated and resolved, please re-deliver the product.
