There are currently four options for delivering content to Google, depending on your ability to deliver content and your catalog size.
- Direct feed: If you have XML proficiency, you can configure a direct feed of your content to Google according to the Google Play Music ingestion feed format. The typical integration for a direct feed with Google Play Music takes approximately three months. This does not include the time it takes for back catalog delivery and ingestion once your content feed is live.
- Delivery via third party partner: You can deliver to Google via a third-party content delivery partner who is able to support the Google Play Music ingestion feed format.
- Product Uploader: You can also deliver your content to Google Play Music via the Product Uploader in the Portal. Note that products delivered via this method will be handled in the same way that feed deliveries are, including same processing times and same overwriting of metadata and rights by subsequent deliveries.
- Google Play Music Bulk CSV Ingestor: You can deliver your content to Google via upload our bulk csv ingestion tool. The intended audience is a content provider who wishes to deliver content to Google without using XML. The best candidates for this method of delivery have less than 20,000 tracks, and can offer standard rights worldwide for the majority of these tracks. The partner will upload a CSV file with media files to an SFTP location.
