Hi Srikrishna,

Welcome to the Google Play Help Forum.

I understand that the Google Play Services keeps stopping on your device.

I'd suggest you give these steps a try and see if they help:

  1. Clear cache data for Google Play Store app & Google Play Services (Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Play Services > Clear cache > OK).

  2. Uninstall updates for the Play Store app Play Store(Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Play Store > Uninstall updates > OK).

  3. Uninstall updates for Google Play Services (Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Play Services > Uninstall updates > OK).

  4. Restart your device.

  5. Clear data for the Google Play Store app Play Store(Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Play Store > Clear data > OK).

  6. Update the date and time on your device:

    • Open your device's main Settings app.

    • Touch Date and time.

    • If you see "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone," uncheck them.

    • Manually change the date and time so that they are wrong.

    • Note: don't worry - we'll change them back to the right date and time in a minute.

    • Tap the Home Screen button.

    • Go back to your Date and time settings (repeat first two steps in this section).

    • Manually change the date and time, so that they are correct.

    • Re-check the boxes for "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone."

  7. Remove Google Account:

    • Open your device's Settings app.

    • Under "Accounts," touch Google and then the account you want to remove.

    • Touch the Menu icon in the top right corner of the screen.

    • Touch Remove account.

  8. Add Google Account:

    • Open your device's Settings app.

    • Under "Accounts," touch Add account > Google Google.

    • Follow the instructions to add your account.

Let me know how it goes.

April

Thanks mate! I can't thank you enough! What a weird bug though! Can I know why that happens just to avoid those things further?
And is there any system that I could rate your assistance? I wanna give you 5 stars!

You're welcome, Arjun!

This generally happens when there's no proper communication between Google Play Services and the Google server.

Please let us know which step has helped you resolve the issue.

Awaiting your response.

Best,
April
