Can't update built-in apps - Error code: -506

I want to sign in my google account on Clash of Clans here on my new androis phone.. But the game prompts that I need to install the latest version of Google Play Games. So I just re-install the app even it is already installed..

Here comes the recurring problem. When I try to sign in on CoC, the same problem occurs. It needs the latest version of Google Play Games.

Also, when I opened Google Play Games, it prompts that it won't run unless I update Google Play services.. When I try to update it, once the download is complete and the "installing" appears, the error appears.. That it can't be installed.. Please try again (Error code: -506)..

Hi there,

Have you tried:

Clearing Data and Cache
  1. Go to Settings > Apps. Tap All > Google Play Store then finally tap the Clear Cache button.
  2. Clear out your Play Store data
  3. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play services then tap the Clear Cache button. If that fails to solve the problem, come back to this page and tap the Clear Data button.
Let me know if that helps,

Hello,

I was trying that at first because it was one of the suggestions on the troubleshooting tab and I was still getting an error. However after I have written my post here and I tried to that again, surprisingly it worked.

Thanks for the help even it was already late when I have read your comment.

Ifound a way, you should go to setting - - > apps, and change external memory to internal memory for each app which
you can't update it,then update freely, after update you can do reverse,
