Google Play content and conduct policy
Our policies play an important role in maintaining a positive experience for our users. Please follow these policies when using Google Play. Content is defined as tracks, album covers, images, artist biographies, descriptions, links, comments, and any other data included on Google Play store pages. In addition to complying with these policies, tracks and album covers with certain types of content must be marked “explicit” or “edited” in accordance with our Content Rating Guidelines.
Please note that when applying our policies, we may make exceptions based on artistic, educational, or documentary considerations, or when there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action (e.g., cultural and social commentary). These exceptions are of course especially important in the context of music; they are also especially difficult lines to draw. We reserve the right to apply our policies in our sole discretion, and we are always evolving our views on complex issues. It’s your responsibility to keep up with any changes or modifications to our policies, so please check back in.
When we are notified of a potential policy violation, we may review and take action, including but not limited to removing or restricting content, limiting a user’s access to the Google Play artist hub, Google Play, or other Google services.

Google Play Store Pages
Google Play store pages, including artist introduction and artist photo, should be descriptive of the artist represented. Google Play store pages that are used in ways other than outlined in the Google Play Terms of Services will not be published. Note that store pages, including the artist photo may be subject to more restrictive guidelines.
In the event that your content is removed from Google Play you will receive an email notification to that effect. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a removal or a rating/comment from a user, you may contact us through the Help Center. Serious or repeated violations of the Google Play Terms of Service, the Google Terms of Service, or this Content Policy will result in account termination.
Reporting Potential Issues
If you encounter content or a user that you believe violates the above policies, please report it to us using the “Flag as inappropriate” link found on each album or Google Play store page.
