Edit your track information

Editable track metadata

You can edit the following information about your tracks:

Editing track metadata

You will make initial edits to your track information during the album creation process, after you upload your audio tracks. However, you may decide to make additional edits to your tracks after you have published your album.

To edit track-level metadata once you’ve submitted an album:

  1. First, log into the Google Play artist hub.
  2. Under the Artists & Music tab, click the Upload & Edit Music button.
  3. Find the album that contains the track you’d like to edit and click the Edit Album button next to the album.
  4. Next, you will be taken to a general editing page, where you can click Edit Tracks.
  5. After that, you will be given the chance to edit your track information. Click the Edit button next to the tracks(s) that you’d like to edit.
  6. Once you’ve made edits to your track, click Save Changes.
  7. Finally, click Save Changes once more to submit all track edits for publication.
Note! You can only make changes to track and disc ordering if the album is unpublished. See below for more details. All other fields can be edited at any time.
Note! We support ISRC numbers for individual tracks, so that you can count these toward reports. Please note that if you add an ISRC after initially publishing an album, the edited ISRC will only be reported for new sales moving forward, not retroactively.
