  3. After you have made changes to your artist image, you can either Continue editing your Google Play store page by uploading an artist bio, genres, and links, or you can Save for Later.

Note that in order for your artist image and other items to publish to the Google Play store, you will need to Submit your artist page to the Google Play artist support team for review.

Making additional edits to your artist image

After you've uploaded your artist image to the Google Play artist hub during the initial step-by-step setup, you may decide to update your artist image again. When making additional edits to your artist image, you will be taken to an editing page where you can upload a new artist image, rather than being taken through the step-by-step process that you went through when you initially set up your store page.

To make an update to your artist image:

  1. Go to the Artists & Music tab in your Google Play artist hub account, and click on the Edit Artist Info button.
  2. You will be taken to a page where you can make edits to any of the editable categories: bio, image, genres, and links.
    • Click Edit image to edit your artist image.
    • On the next page, click Upload and Publish Photo, browse to the correct artist image, and once done click Done.
    • It may take up to one business day for your new artist image to go live.

Rights and Policies

All artist images must be original and you must own copyright to the images that you upload for use on your Google Play store page. Learn more. If you have those rights, you currently have the ability to upload one artist image to your Google Play store page.

Note: All submitted artist images will be subject to a basic policy review by the Google Play team. Be sure that all artist images are real photos of the artist represented in the Google Play store page. Please also refer to our policies for additional information.

Size and Format

All artist images must have a 2:1 aspect ratio, minimum 1024 x 512 pixels. We accept images in png, jpg, and gif formats. Images should be RGB encoded; currently, CMYK encoded images are not supported.
