Who should create an artist hub account

You're an unsigned solo artist

If you have the rights to your artist presence, you can create an account so that you can manage your Google Play store page.

Additionally, if you have rights to your own original music that enables you to sell it, and have not already opted into distribution to Google Play via an aggregator, you can use the account to upload and publish that original music to the Google Play store.

You're a member of an unsigned band

At this time, only one Google account can be linked to a Google Play store page. Work with your fellow band members to decide which Google account you want associated with your store page. Any music uploaded—and any payments issued—will be associated with that account.

You're a signed solo artist or band

If you have the rights to your artist presence, you can create an account so that you can manage your Google Play store page. However, if your label contract grants these rights to your label, do not create an account.

You should not use the artist hub to submit your signed discography to Google Play. Please contact your label or distributor to make sure that you are opted into distribution to Google Play.

You're an authorized representative of an artist

An artist must grant you specific legal rights authorizing you to act on their behalf and to represent their interests. Some states require registration of agents and managers. In addition, you must have rights and permissions from the artist-copyright owner in order to upload the artist's content on their behalf (introduction, artist photo, original music, artwork, etc.). Please make sure that you have all of the appropriate rights and authority that you need before proceeding. You may wish to review relevant portions of our policies.

When claiming additional artists pages, bear in mind that payments from Google will be made to a single account and a single tax ID.

Please note that Google Play store pages are currently only for individual artists and bands. We currently do not support Google Play store pages for labels.
