Fix problems signing in to Play Games or other apps

You can try to clear your data and cache from Google Play services, Play games, or the game you have trouble with:

  1. Open your Settings app .
  2. Tap Apps & notifications and then See all apps.
  3. Scroll down and tap Google Play Games.
  4. Tap Storage and then Clear storage.
  5. Re-open the Play Games app.

You can also re-try these steps for Google Play services or the game that you're having trouble with.

Fix problems signing in to one game

If you have trouble signing in to one specific game, contact the developer. Learn how to contact an Android app’s developer.

Fix problems if you can’t sign in to multiple games

Turn on automatic sign in

Check for any updates for your game

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Manage apps & device. Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available." You can also search for a specific app. 
  4. Tap Update.

Uninstall and re-install the game

If you uninstall a game, you might lose data when you reinstall it.
  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Manage apps & devices and then Installed.
  4. Next to the app, tap Uninstall.
