Request a refund for a Google Play purchase

Use this article to get a refund if the purchase:

  • Isn’t what you expected
  • Doesn’t work, or 
  • A friend or family member accidentally used your payment method to buy
  1. On your computer, go to play.google.com/store/account.
  2. Click Order History.
  3. Find the order you want to return.
  4. On the order, click More More.
  5. Select Request a refund or Report a problem and choose the option that describes your situation.
  6. Complete the form and note that you would like a refund.
  7. You will see a message saying "Thank you for sharing your concerns." You'll then get an email with your refund decision. You’ll usually get this within 15 minutes, but it can take up to four business days.

Report charges from someone you don’t know

Important: We take fraud seriously, so if we find that fraud occurred on an account, that person might not be able to pay with Google temporarily. DO NOT submit a report using the form below if the purchase was made by your family and friends.

If you see an unknown or suspicious charge from Google Play that you didn't make and wasn't made by anyone you know, report unauthorized charges within 120 days of the transaction.
