How to add to & check your Google Play balance

Your Google Play balance is credit that you can use to buy apps, games, and digital content on Google Play. Here’s how you can add money to recharge your balance:

It's not possible to share or transfer content between accounts on Google Play, even if you own both accounts. If you have multiple accounts on your device, make sure you sign in to the account you want to use before you complete your purchase.

These Google Play products are not refundable or transferable unless required by law (for instance, underage user accounts):

  • Play gift cards
  • Prepaid Play balance
    • Cash top-ups
  • Promotional Play balance

If you’ve bought an app on the wrong account, contact the app developer. They may be able to refund your purchase so you can buy it again on the account you wanted to use.

Note: You can share apps and digital content with your family with Google Play Family Library
