Report problematic content or copyright & trademark violations
Google Play takes reports of inappropriate or problematic content very seriously. You can report content issues in the following ways:
Trademark or copyright infringementUse the Google Trademark infringement form to report trademark infringement with regard to any content on Google Play.
If you believe that content should be removed from Google Play you may contact us through our content removal form. To expedite our ability to investigate your claim, we encourage you to submit your claim here rather than by fax or post.
Application providers must adhere to the Google Play Business and Program Policies. If you see an application that doesn't follow these standards, you can report it by flagging it from the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Open the
Google Play Store app.
- Visit the application's page.
- Scroll down and select Flag as inappropriate.
You can also report malicious or inappropriate apps to the Google Play team through the Android Developer Help Center.
Music providers must adhere to the Google Music Content and Conduct Policy. If you see music that doesn't follow these standards, you can report it by flagging it on your Android device.
- Open the
Google Play Store app.
- Locate the album or track.
- Scroll down and select Flag as Inappropriate.
- Select a reason to mark the content as objectionable.
Comments and reviews must adhere to the Comment Posting Policy. If you see a comment that doesn't follow these standards, you can report it by following these steps.
On your Android device
- Open the
Google Play Store app.
- Locate the comment or review you'd like to flag.
- Select the
feedback icon next to the entry.
- Choose Spam to flag the comment or review.
On your computer
- Visit Google Play on your computer (play.google.com).
- Click the comment or review you'd like to flag.
- Hover over the individual review and click the
flag icon to report the comment or review.
Currently, some developers can publicly reply to comments or reviews, subject to the Developer Comment Posting Policy. If you’ve received a developer reply that doesn't follow these standards, please report it by following these steps:
- Click the Report developer reply link in the email notification of the developer reply.
- In the report inappropriate developer reply form, please include the direct link to the offensive developer comment, the developer name, and a brief summary.
