Digital subscriptions for print subscribers
If you already subscribe to the print version of a magazine or newspaper, you may be eligible for a free digital subscription on Google Play. Some publishers offer digital subscriptions to existing subscribers.

You can find out if your existing print subscription offers a free digital version using the Google Play Store app.
- Open the Google Play Store app .
- Search for the magazine or newspaper and visit its detail page.
- Touch Subscribe.
- To check if you are eligible for a free digital version on Google Play, touch Current subscribers.
- You can only sign up for digital magazine subscriptions through the Google Play Store app.
- Magazines aren't available on the Newsstand app for iOS.

To find out if your existing print subscription offers a free digital version, select Already a subscriber? Activate your account when you open an article.
If a news source offers a subscription option on Newsstand, you'll see a card with subscription options. Sign in to verify your subscription. Your digital subscription expires when your original print subscription ends.

Sign in when you open an article.To subscribe to new editions, go to the Newsstand section of the Google Play Store for desktop. After completing your purchase, the content will be available when you return to the Newsstand app for iOS.
Troubleshooting subscription verifications
When verifying your subscription, make sure you:
- Have an active, existing subscription to the magazine or news source.
- Enter your correct account information.
Note: If you need to provide your mailing address, type your name and address exactly as they appear on your print subscription.Help with error messages
"Invalid e-mail or password. Please try again."
Make sure you're typing the email address and password that you use to sign in to your online account. If you haven't created an online account, click Set up your account first.
"The subscription info provided did not verify. Please try again."
This error message usually appears when part of your verification information isn't the same as what the publisher has for your account. Make sure to provide your account number, name, and address as they appear on your print subscription. For help with your account information, contact the publisher's customer support team.
"We were unable to verify that you have an active subscription to this magazine."
