Add your existing music collection

  1. Install the Google Play Music Manager, a desktop application that allows you to add your music to Google Play Music.

  2. Access Music Manager by clicking the Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac) or notifications area (Linux).

  3. Select the location of your music collection and click 'Next.' If you select iTunes or Windows Media Player, you’ll also be asked if you’d like to only add specific playlists.

    Select music location

  4. Click 'Yes' or 'No' to decide if you want Music Manager to automatically add songs whenever music is added to your local collection.

    Add new music automatically

That’s it! Music Manager is now adding your personal collection to Google Play Music.
