Change a video's language settings

Movies and TV shows have different language options available for audio playback, captions, and subtitles.

Find language & subtitle details

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google TV app .
2. Tap on movie or TV show.
3. Scroll to "More information."
4. Find language and subtitle options under "Audio" and "Subtitles."

Tip: Set your language settings before downloading your video. You won’t be able to change the audio language once a video has been downloaded. In some countries and regions, the audio language may not be set by the desired language.

Change audio language & subtitle settings

When a video has multiple languages, you can change your preferred audio and subtitle language. You can also set up default language settings to use for every video you rent or buy.

While your video streams

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Play Movies & TV app .
2. At the bottom of your player, tap the CC button select a language.

Fix problems with subtitles

If subtitles don’t appear after you turn them on, contact Google TV support.
