Help with an Android app or game
Google Play is the platform on which Android apps are sold; however, these apps (like Facebook, Skype, Angry Birds, Instagram, Temple Run or any other app that doesn’t have Google listed as the developer) are created and maintained by third-party developers. If you have questions about an app you downloaded or purchased, you’ll need to contact the developer of that app (instead of the Google Play team) to address the issue.
Common queries that should be directed toward the app’s developer:
- An app I downloaded isn’t working
- An app I bought isn’t working as advertised
- I have questions about how to use an app I downloaded
- I have questions about an app’s permissions
- I made an in-app purchase but never received the item(s)
- I want a refund for an app/in-app item I bought
- I have feedback or concerns on an app I downloaded on Google Play
Common queries that should be directed toward Google/the Google Play team:
- I’m trying to buy an app/in-app item, but my payment is being cancelled
- I’m trying to download an app, but the download is stuck
To find contact information for an app's developer:
- Go to Google Play and select the app in question.
- On the app's description page, scroll down to the "Developer" section.
- An email address, a phone number or a website will be provided.
Reviewing an app
If you’re having an issue with an app and you've already contacted the developer, but they never responded or their response was unsatisfactory, we recommend you leave a review of the app on Google Play to reflect your experience. While we aren't able to force developers to respond to each user that contacts them, we've found that user feedback on reviews is a good way to get developers' attention.
