Edit music metadata & album art

After uploading music using Music Manager, Google Play saves the metadata and album art associated with your files.

If album art for a file appears in your iTunes library, but not on Google Play, it's likely that the album art was added by iTunes and wasn't included in your original music file.

Edit metadata and album art

You can edit your music's metadata and album art by visiting Google Play Music on your computer.

  1. Go to Google Play Music.
  2. Click the Menu Menu icon for a song or album.
  3. Click Edit album info or Edit info.
  4. Type in the fields to edit metadata or click Change on the album art area to upload an image.
  5. Click Save.

Edit multiple songs at once

  1. Go to Google Play Music.
  2. Go to My Library, a playlist, or your music queue to view the songs you want to edit.
  3. Hold down Shift and click to select a range of songs to edit.
    • To select individual songs, hold down the Ctrl (Windows) or Command key (Mac).
  4. Click Edit info near the top of the screen.
  5. Type in the fields to edit metadata or click Change on the album art area to upload an image.
  6. Click Save.
