Upload music using Google Play Music Manager

After installing the Google Play Music Manager, you can access it by clicking the Google Play Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac) or notifications area (Linux).

To upload songs to Google Play, click the Google Play Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac) or notifications area (Linux) and click 'Upload’.

If you’d like to change the location that the Google Play Music Manager uploads music from, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Google Play Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac) or notifications area (Linux) to access the Google Play Music Manager.
  2. Select the ’Advanced’
  3. Click ’Change’ and select your preferred location.
If you're uploading music from Windows Media Player or iTunes, you can instruct the Google Play Music Manager to only upload music from folders of your choosing.
