Create an AdWords campaign for your app

To promote your app through ads, you can create an AdWords campaign using your Play Console.

About universal app campaigns

To learn where your ads can appear and how they display with a universal app campaign, go to the AdWords Help Center.

Create a campaign

The account owner needs to create the first AdWords campaign on the Play Console. For future campaigns, other users with the "Create AdWords campaigns" permission can create campaigns.

To create a campaign:

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Select an app.
  3. On the left menu, click User Acquisition > AdWords Campaigns > Create campaign.
  4. You'll be taken to AdWords. To finish creating your campaign, follow the on-screen instructions.

For details on how to upload image assets, set up your ad text, and more, go to the AdWords Help Center.

Translate campaigns

To purchase ad translations, review the instructions on translate & localize your app.

Manage campaigns

After you've created an AdWords campaign, you can review budgets, costs, statuses, and app installs.

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Select an app.
  3. On the left menu, click User Acquisition > AdWords Campaigns. If you need to make changes to a campaign, click a campaign link in the table. You'll be linked to AdWords to manage your campaign settings.
