My app has been removed from Google Play

By publishing to Google Play, you agree to adhere to the Google Play Program Policies and Developer Distribution Agreement. Google is not required to send you a warning prior to suspension or termination.

Rejections, removals, & suspensions

Rejections
  • Don't impact the standing of your Google Play Developer account.
  • If an update to an existing app was rejected, the version published prior to the update is still available on Google Play.

Note: Until a policy violation has been fixed, don't republish a rejected app.

Removals
  • Don't impact the standing of your Google Play Developer account.
  • Once your app is removed, the published version of your app won't be available on Google Play until a compliant updated is submitted.
  • Your users, statistics, and ratings will be retained once you submit a compliant update for a removed app.

Note: Until a policy violation has been fixed, don't republish a removed app.

Suspensions
  • Count as strikes against the good standing of your Google Play Developer account.
  • Egregious or multiple policy violations can result in suspension, as can repeated app rejections or removals.

After a suspension

Once your app is suspended, you forfeit the users, statistics, and ratings of the removed application. If your developer credentials are still in good standing with Google Play and if your app allows for it, you can publish a new compliant version of the application.

Appeals

We will only reinstate applications if an error was made, and we find that your application does not violate the Google Play Program Policies and Developer Distribution Agreement.

Note: Although we may send removal emails in your app's default language, we can only respond to appeals in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean at this time.
