In order to explore possible updates to the Real-Money Gambling, Games, and Contests policy, Google Play is conducting limited-time pilots for the following game types in the countries/regions listed, subject to additional terms and conditions:

Note: The Online Crane Games pilot in Japan ended on July 11, 2023. Effective July 12, 2023, Online Crane Game apps may be listed on Google Play subject to certain requirements and applicable laws. For details, see Online Crane Games.
The Google Play Pilot Program for DFS and Rummy apps in India ended on September 28, 2023. New apps are no longer being accepted in the pilot program. We are providing a grace period to existing pilot apps to remain on Google Play until June 30, 2024. Effective July 1, 2024, we will be introducing an updated policy to enable developers to distribute DFS, Rummy, and other Real-Money Games on Google Play. We are closely tracking all ecosystem developments, including the planned implementation of the Self-Regulatory Bodies (SRB) framework for verification of permissible online RMG in India, and are committed to supporting developers in the Indian RMG industry.
How to participate
In order to participate in these pilot programs, developers must take the following steps:
- Complete and submit the application form (via the "How to participate" column in the preceding table).
- In addition to all Google Play policies, all participants will be subject to and must comply with the terms and conditions of the pilot program.
Google will review application forms and notify eligible applicants of the result within seven business days of form submission. The Google Play developer account submitted on the application form must be in compliance with all Google Play policies to remain eligible to participate in the pilot.
