The Statistics pages in SDK Console provide you with aggregated metrics about your SDKs across apps distributed through Google Play. They show adoption trends (Adoption), the proportion of your install base across different SDK versions, Android versions, and countries (Installs), and provide information about your market share in different app categories (Market share).
Note: SDK Console only shows data that meet certain privacy thresholds. Data that does not meet these thresholds are grouped under an additional “other” value or omitted entirely.
The Statistics page does not include apps that do not share their library dependencies with Google Play. More than 85% of app releases on Google Play currently share their libraries’ dependencies.
Adoption
The Adoption page (Statistics > Adoption) captures app and SDK adoption trends. Data only includes apps with over 1,000 installs, and that share their library dependencies with Google Play. You can view the following charts on the Adoption page:
- SDK adoption: The number of apps that use your SDK. This is an absolute number, where each app is counted once, regardless of its install base.
- Weighted SDK adoption: The number of apps that use your SDK, weighted by active app installs. App contribution is proportionate to its active app install base size.
To choose a different dimension, click View by, and select SDK version or App category.
Installs
The Installs page (Statistics > Installs) captures the relative number of active app installs that use your SDK. Data on this page only includes apps that share their library dependencies with Google Play. You can view the ratio of your SDK installs in a given app category compared with the total number of installs across three dimensions:
- Country / region
- SDK version
- Android version
To choose a different dimension, click View by, and select a dimension from the drop-down menu.
Market share
The Market share page shows the percentage of active app installs on Google Play that uses your SDK. The data on this page only includes apps that share their library dependencies with Google Play. You can view your SDK's share of installs compared with the total number of installs in a given app category.
Click + App category to add more categories to the chart.
Export statistics reports
You can export a CSV report from any of the Statistics pages for specific time periods by clicking Export report and selecting the time period at the top right of each page.
