Google Pixel Watch Update - November 2024

Announcement

Hello Pixel Watch Community,

Pixel Watch 1, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Watch 3 devices will receive the November 2024 software update, with the next update planned for March 2025.

With this update, Pixel Watch 1 and 2 users will resume receiving the Wear OS 5 upgrade starting today. The rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device. Users will receive a notification on their watch once the software update becomes available for their device. We encourage you to update to receive the latest software.

What are you maked. This font is trash, vibration doesn't work in apps(including system, like settings).

Need some better descriptions about the issues you are having. Font is trash isn't very helpful.

Not on a a pixel watch first gen because adapters aren't readily available. Even if you could, it would automatically install the newest update after a while.

Amazing... Waiting for the update for 5 months. Now I have it, absolutely nothing really improved. And instead I now have a watch that last 7hrs max on 1 charge. Bravo Google 👍🏼👍🏼

Seems like a good amount of issues, sorry to hear that. Give the watch a factory reset, set it back up again and see if the issues continue.

This updated the way apps in Wear OS 5 schedules exact alarms. It seems this is broken with the update but unusually only on pixel watches. According to the developer it works in the emulator and on Galaxy watches. Because of that I cannot install a very important app for me with no substitutes on play (Blose). The developer posted a bug report but I'm not holding my breath. I found that out after I had to do a reset because my time between charges was cut in half. The reset was recommended. Additionally when I look at my power saver it indicates now it turns on at 0%, not 15%. What's the point of that.

Seems like i can not add my Swedbank Card in Sweden anymore after the update made a factory reset now it failes all the time in Google Wallet on the Watch.

So the bank can support Pixel Watch 2 with Google Wallet but not the Pixel Watch 3?
That sounds very werd in my ears.

Has call my own bank they did not see either why it was not woring and my bank gives out the cards.

They can see they support Wear OS, and Google Wallet just like they do on Phones.
So they cold not even give me a reason they even connected me to there IT-Support departments. To try find out why it was not working they was not giving any answer either.

They support "Wear OS", but did they tell you whether they support "Wear OS 5" as well as "Wear OS 4". When it was first released there were lots of cards that quit working or were not installable until the financial institutions made changes to specifically support 5.

There were a lesser number of reports of difficulty with Pixel Watch 3 until that was specifically supported as well.

You could be having compatibility issues with either or both, but I suspect it's with the OS upgrade. Do you still have your PW2, which should now have an update to Wear OS 5? If so, would you please test whether your PW2 running WOS5 is compatible with your card?

My Pixel Watch 2 is still on July 2024 Update because it just refuses to download the latest update. Loading circle doesn't fill at all. Prior to this it didn't event connect to internet even though my carrier phone worked fine. What should I do? Trigger a warranty claim because of bricked software? I already did a full factory reset.

I tried everything that Perplexity Sonar Reasoning Pro offered me as a solution.

As Benjamin said, make sure your phone is on WiFi, and additionally if you are having trouble, make sure your watch is connected to your phone, your phone is charging or has more than 50% charge, and make sure your watch is on the charger and has a status of charging.
